During a business trip in London, England, a few years ago,  I was travelling the 'Tube' and listening to the repetitive message of  'MIND THE GAP'  warning passengers that there is a gap between the platform and the train. I thought that we could apply the same message to Employers and Employees. Many Employers invest heavily in maintaining  healthy and productive workplaces yet  find themselves losing valuable employees through the ‘GAPS’. Gaps  that exist in their  policies and practices  intended to guide and support  employees. Often these 'GAPS’ are evident  in:
